The innovative Ultrasonic Flow Transmitter Type 8081

If nothing moves, nothing can get broken. It is that simple.

The Ultrasonic Flow Transmitter Type 8081 is suitable for Cooling Systems applications, like:

  • Monitoring of cooling water for robot welding
  • Monitoring of coolant for machining (drilling, grinding, milling)
  • Monitoring of cooling water for die casting
  • Any other water monitoring application where the flow has to be monitored with a high dynamic range, with a high accuracy and no moving parts are mandatory.

Swirl free flow and the optimized flow over the reflector surface prohibit settling of dirt particles. This results in high long term stability and the device is non sensitive to coating as well as low pressure loss and the starting flows.

The freebeam principle is used to avoid measuring pipe changes because of contamination. The advantages of this principle are no reflection at the measuring pipe and the reflections at the housing do not reach the transducer anymore.
